Each year in early summer, the SUMMER LOUNGE series of events gives you a concise overview of the annual reports from Germany. As a visitor to the SUMMER LOUNGE, you can browse through the brand-new reports from the DAX, MDAX, SDAX and TecDAX and compile the first ranking of the year, all whilst enjoying a terrific view of Hamburg's Aussenalster lake.

The ANNUAL REPORTS series of events provides a forum for international prospects in the German communications field. The accompanying conference provides the opportunity to discuss new trends and talk with experts and colleagues.

Insight: the HGB Trend Barometer 2010

The first representative evaluation of the 2009 reporting season: what are the developments relating to the current reports? How are German companies communicating against the backdrop of a fundamental change in the capital markets? Have the language or look changed? We prepare the latest report development for you. Caution: impulses and ideas for our own coming report cannot be excluded!

Theses: values! What values?  

The annual report is under the microscope. In the previous months, we have learnt that the value of a company cannot be determined from its income statement alone. But how do we deal with these findings? What is their relevance with regard to the content of the annual report? Is a reshuffle needed for the hard and soft facts? Economy, ecology or social: which strategic topics must future reports consider so as not only to describe the business but to persuade its readers in equal measure as a responsibility report? We would like to discuss this with you at this year’s Summer Lounge.

Conference and preview on 23 September 2010

ANNUAL REPORTS conference & preview with expert presentations on and around the future of the annual report next take place on 23 September 2010. Our topic this year: “Back to the future. Rediscovering old values”. This is followed by an evening event with a presentation ceremony for the German winners of the world's biggest competition for annual reports, the ARC Award, N.Y. The programme for the conference day with fascinating presentations from top-class speakers is available here in German language.
